Seachem Reef Trace

Replenishment of a number of trace elements is required to maintain an environment ideal for marine life growth and reproduction, but although the importance of trace elements has been recognized by aquarists for many years, the physiological reasons are not fully understood. The chemical elements in seawater are varied and their addition to the aquarium in trace amounts has different effects on a variety of saltwater plants and invertebrate species. However, these elements are generally important for metabolic processes and pigmentation. Addition of iron, for example, has shown that it benefits the coloring and growth of corals, anenomas and other photosynthetic animals.

Reef Trace ™ provides a wide range of trace elements that have been shown to be necessary for good health and reef growth. Trace elements are normally exhausted by use, oxidation and precipitation. The last two processes occur faster than with other micronutrients. This makes it important to regularly restore trace elements. Reef Trace ™ can be used alone or in combination with Reef Plus ™. The best results are obtained when both are used. Reef Trace ™ is nitrate / phosphate free.

Use of Seachem Reef Trace

Use 1 cap (5 ml) twice a week for every 80 L (20 US gallons). When used in combination with Reef Plus ™, dose on other days.
