Matrix ™ offers an internal macroporous surface. These macroporous giants are ideal for large nitrifying and de-nitrifying bacteria. This enables Matrix ™, unlike other biomedia products, to remove nitrates together with ammonia and nitrite, simultaneously and in one and the same filter. It does not have to be replaced. Use 1–2 Liter from Matrix ™ for every 400 liters. Because most bacteria are internal, it is possible to clean Matrix ™ when needed without damaging the filter. Matrix ™ is compatible with all types of wet and dry filters. Sea water and fresh water.
Application of Seachem Matrix
Use 1 to 2 liters of Matrix ™ for every 400 liters of water. Matrix ™ can be placed in any filter, and is particularly effective in a pot filter. Matrix ™ fairly large and therefore no filter bag is required in most applications.
