Reef Strontium ™ is intended to restore and maintain strontium levels without affecting pH.

Strontium is used in the same way as calcium and ensures good growth of the corals. Natural seawater has a strontium content of approximately 8 to 10 mg / L and is absorbed by many corals together with calcium.
The addition of strontium to a reef aquarium ensures good growth of lime algae, corals and other organisms.

Dosage of Seachem Reef Strontium

Add 5 ml to 80 liters of water approximately twice a week. This increases the strontium content by approximately 0.6 mg / L.

Use of Seachem Reef Strontium

BEGINNER: Use 1 cap (5 ml) per 80 L (20 US gallons) twice a week.

ADVANCED: Check the strontium level and then follow the supplementation regimen until strontium is set to 8-12 mg / l. Every 5 ml / 80 L will increase strontium by approximately 0.6 mg / l. The amount or frequency can be adjusted as needed to maintain strontium.

EXPERT: Set a continuous drip system after determining the strontium consumption rate. Use the following formula to determine how much to add to your top water: m = 0.1vs (m = ml of product to add to top-off water, v = volume of the tank in liters, s = quantity to store strontium increase in mg / L). For example, if you want to increase strontium by 2 mg / L in a 200-liter tank, add 0.1x200x2 = 40 ml to the top water. [For reference: 1 gallon = 3.8 L].
