Goods shipped by Ocean Store

Ocean Store attaches great importance to ensuring that your goods are delivered to you safely and quickly.

Delivery time

We package all ordered goods very carefully so that we, and you, can be sure that the package arrives in good order at your specified address.

• Almost 99% of our products are available from stock.
• Orders placed before 4 PM today will be delivered tomorrow. (Exceptions are possible, of course.)
• FREE shipping on orders over €50 to both the Netherlands and Belgium, with the exception of:
  • Live animals: A surcharge applies for shipping in protected EPS boxes/heat packs, etc. We ship live animals Monday through Thursday.
  • Large, heavy or fragile (glass) items that require special transport such as shipping on a (mini)pallet.
  • Maximum weight: 23 kilos . A €2.50 surcharge applies for orders over 23 kilos. For orders over 30 kilos, we charge additional shipping costs for each additional package/shipment.

Out of stock?

For out-of-stock products, the expected delivery time is clearly indicated on the website. Please note that this is just an estimate. We are dependent on our suppliers' stock levels. Ordering out-of-stock items may delay the delivery of your entire order.

Our carriers

We ship via DHL , PostNL , Trunkers , UPS , MainFreight , and Transmission . The carriers selected depend on weight, delivery country, and desired delivery date.

Live Harbor ships with UPS Express, with which we have a special agreement for guaranteed fast delivery.

MainFreight of Transmission is used for transporting heavy (pallet shipments) or very fragile goods.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are automatically calculated in our online store. We offer an extremely low price of €6.99 within the Netherlands and only €7.95 to Belgium.

For orders above €50,- we do not charge shipping costs.

All packages are shipped with Track & Trace, allowing you to track your shipment. As soon as your order has been shipped, you will receive a Track & Trace code and a shipping confirmation in your mailbox.

Not home?

If you are not home, the package will initially be delivered to your neighbors. You will be notified of this by a note in your mailbox. If you do not wish this to happen, please indicate this in the comments section of your order. If your neighbors are also not home, the delivery person will try again the next day. You can often use the carrier's tracking page to indicate that the package can be left elsewhere or delivered to a service point. However, these options vary by carrier.

Delivery conditions for livestock

Livestock is generally shipped with same-day delivery via Trunkrs (this only applies to shipments to the Netherlands and the Flemish part of Belgium). Orders leave here in the afternoon and are delivered to you in the evening (between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM).

Deliveries to other countries are made the day after ordering via UPS Express . In that case, the order will be shipped late in the day for next-day delivery. We prioritize animal welfare, so we take extra care with packaging where necessary.

Livestock is shipped to the Netherlands and the Flemish part of Belgium on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Other products in the same order will be shipped together with the livestock. Livestock to other parts of the world are shipped with UPS Express on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

You can also collect your livestock from our store in Dordrecht. Simply order online and select "Pickup." You'll receive a notification when your order is ready for collection.

Dead on arrival claims

In the case of DOA (Dead on Arrival), Ocean Store always credits the paid amount for the animal. It is not possible to resend an animal. In the case of DOA, please respond to your order confirmation with a photo of the dead animal in its sealed, delivered packaging immediately upon receipt to info@ocean-store.nl .

No rights can be derived from provided inventory or delivery dates. By placing an order, you accept our terms and conditions of delivery.

Pallet shipments NL and BE

• Small aquarium slides fit on a mini pallet (max. 80 cm). The cost is €35.00.
• Large aquariums that require shipping on a pallet (larger than 80 cm) will cost €50.00.
• For pallet shipments, someone must be guaranteed to be home. In addition, the delivery address must be easily accessible by truck.
• For shipments outside the Netherlands or Belgium, a transport quote must be requested.

Delivery to the Wadden Islands

For deliveries to the Wadden Islands, we will charge a surcharge, depending on the shipment. This is usually €5 for a package up to 30 kg.
