Seaweed & algae
Seaweed, algae, and plankton play a vital role in a healthy marine aquarium. They are ideal for use in refugiums, where they help bind excess nutrients and thus contribute to better and more stable water quality. Their natural growth supports the biological balance in the aquarium and reduces unwanted algae growth in the main system.
In addition, seaweed and algae are perfect for specialized aquariums with, for example, shrimp, seahorses, or pipefish. They provide shelter, foraging opportunities, and a natural habitat where these animals feel safe and exhibit natural behavior.
