The MRL Mangrove & Probe Holder is the smart way to keep mangroves or probes neatly in place. Thanks to its adjustable screw system, it fits glass thicknesses from 0.4 to 20 mm, making it suitable for virtually any aquarium.
The holder itself is 3D-printed from PETG, a strong and reef-safe material that can withstand saltwater and prolonged use. The TPU strap that secures your mangrove or probe functions like a reusable zip-tie: strong, flexible, and easily adjustable.
Compact, functional and neatly finished – exactly what you would expect from Mad Reef Lab.

Seaweed & algae
Seaweed, algae, and plankton play a vital role in a healthy marine aquarium. They are ideal for use in refugiums, where they help bind excess nutrients and thus contribute to better and more stable water quality. Their natural growth supports the biological balance in the aquarium and reduces unwanted algae growth in the main system. In addition, seaweed and algae are perfect for specialized aquariums with, for example, shrimp, seahorses, or pipefish. They provide shelter, foraging opportunities, and a natural habitat where these animals feel safe and exhibit natural behavior. Plankton is a valuable addition and an important natural food source for many filter feeders, microfauna, and young animals.
