DD Reef Zlements Co Cobalt
Cobalt is a trace element found in low concentrations in oceans, ranging from 0.002 µg/l in the North Pacific Ocean to 0.39 µg/l in the Indian Ocean.
Cobalt is an integral component of vitamin B12 and plays a fundamental role in DNA and cell processes, as well as being a nutrient for macroalgae. It has been suggested that cobalt may be a limiting factor for bioavailability in the oceans and therefore an important trace element for the life of our animals.
It is important to monitor levels through an ICP analysis and ensure proper levels and stability by dosing a cobalt supplement if necessary.
Cobalt Zlement, used in conjunction with a regular testing procedure, allows any reefer to correct cobalt levels so that the levels in the aquarium water remain within the optimum range for their friends.
1 ml Cobalt Zlement increases the cobalt concentration of 100 litres by 2 µg/l.
