Reef Zlements Mg Magnesium is a high quality magnesium supplement that helps maintain optimal magnesium levels in reef aquariums. Magnesium (Mg) is the third most abundant ion in seawater, after sodium and chloride, with an average concentration of approximately 1,350 mg/L.
Magnesium is an essential ion that plays a role in many biological, chemical, and ecological processes. It stabilizes the carbonate system, supports coral calcification, and promotes reef ecosystem health. Good magnesium levels help balance calcium and alkalinity levels.
According to the Reef Zlements blend classification, Magnesium falls into the Type C element family, which contributes to stable reef chemistry and long-term coral health.
Dosage:
Add 10 ml Magnesium Zlement per 100 litres of aquarium water to increase the magnesium level by 10 mg/L. Always test the water parameters before and after dosing.
