Strontium is a macro element found in all reefs around the world.
Although its physiological effects are still being studied, there is some evidence that it has an impact on animal health. Strontium is involved in the calcification of coral skeletons and general coral health, and is therefore important for maintaining good coral growth and health.
Strontium is a macro element that is absorbed quite quickly from the water in our aquariums.
It is important to monitor strontium levels by ICP analysis and ensure its stability by administering a strontium supplement if necessary.
The natural strontium concentration is 8-10 mg/l.
With Reef Zlements Sr Strontium, in combination with a regular testing procedure, any aquarist can correct the strontium concentration and ensure that the values in their aquariums remain within the optimal range for their animals.
10 ml Reef Zlements Sr Strontium increases the strontium concentration of 100 liters by 1 mg/l.
