The pH value in your aquarium is directly affected by the CO2 concentration in both the water and the room. This is exacerbated by the limited air exchange in modern, well-insulated houses.

To address this issue, Reef Zlements has launched CarboZorb, a special CO2 absorption media for use with aquarium skimmers. By removing CO2 from the air passing through the skimmer and thus into the water, CarboZorb effectively reduces carbon dioxide levels and raises pH. This promotes healthier growth and addresses issues associated with low pH.

The active CarboZorb is easily recognizable by its light purple color. It turns dark purple when exhausted and is no longer effective. For optimal results, add at least 1 liter per 500 liters of aquarium water in a CO2 filter connected to the air inlet of the skimmer.

Using higher amounts will not further increase the pH in the aquarium, but it will extend the life of the medium before replacement is necessary.

IMPORTANT: CarboZorb must not come into direct contact with water and is specially designed for external use in a CO2 scrubber connected to the skimmer.
