IceCap Backup Battery v3
The IceCap Backup Battery V3 is a backup battery for any serious aquarium hobbyist looking to protect their investment in the event of a power outage. In 4-6 hours without current in an aquarium can cause the death of valuable fish and corals. Extreme weather can strike at any time and we cannot always predict the outcome. Adding an IceCap battery backup will keep your tank's power for ~35 hours after the power goes out (~17 hours for two pumps). Add a second battery backup to double the run time.
Hook your Maxspect Gyre pump to the IceCap Interface module, automatically detects when the power goes out and slows the speed of the gyre down by 30% to extend battery life. The module is backward compatible and will run on gyres already on the market. Connect your 24v aquarium pump to the IceCap Battery Backup for continuous use up to 35 hours after a power failure. (Average 50w at 30% power single pump/single powercell).
