Neptune Systems SKY - Reef Aquarium Light
The SKY Reef Aquarium lamp is a 200W LED aquarium lamp, with patented diffuser technology, that smoothly fuses all 104 LEDs into a homogeneous field to create optimized coral light. No hot spots, no disco ball effect, no need to increase the light area with other lights or harsh shadows. The SKY covers your aquarium like a blanket of natural light, providing your coral reefs with valuable food sources.
Moonlight is very important for the health of coral reefs and their natural processes. That is why the SKY offers moonlight via four special 'moonlight' LEDs in two colors. The moonlights on the SKY aren't simply a bunch of dimmed lights, they're two discrete blue and white colored LED lights that can operate on the same phases as that of the real moon. Of course, if you prefer, you can also use these LEDs as night lighting.
The SKY fits perfectly with your Apex ecosystem. The SKY can be seamlessly connected to a port on one of your modules or the base unit via the AquaBus cable. This makes installation quick and easy. Alternatively, those who don't have Apex can wirelessly connect to the SKY and control it via BlueTooth on their mobile devices.
Hanging Kit
The Neptune Systems Hanging Kit makes it possible to hang your SKY easily. The suspension kit allows you to mount your SKY lamp at the height your tank requires to receive the optimal balance of spread and intensity. The suspension kit contains 2 suspension cables and 2 height-adjustable wire holders.
Diffused Shimzu
With the SKY Diffused Shimz you can easily adjust your light settings. The SKY Diffused Shimz allows you to create a customized lighting effect that perfectly suits the needs of your aquarium. You will find the largest selection of (marine) aquarium (LED) lighting with us. Almost everything is also available directly from stock. Lighting is an important point. The lighting depends on what kind of corals you want to keep. If you choose soft corals (leather corals) then you have to assume at least 0.6 watt lighting per liter. That is higher for stony coral. Here you must assume at least 1.0 watt per liter. More is always allowed, but this is a minimum requirement if you want to be able to house the corals well.
