Tunze Comline® Doc 9020 protein skimmer

Seawater aquariums produce waste products, the amount of which depends on the number of living organisms, fish population and feeding. An effective skimming system will remove organic waste material, the so-called DOCs (Dissolved Organic Carbons). In high concentration they are harmful to any aquarium biotope. the DOC skimmer effectively removes these compounds from the water circuit, better than a bio-mechanical filter, which means that by removing proteins before bacterial breakdown, crystal clear water is retained and an increase in nitrate and phosphate is reduced.

The Comline DOC Skimmer 9020 is designed for use in seawater and mixed and soft coral aquariums up to 2000 liters (550 USgal.)

• Supplied in stock container 5002.25 (can be used as a skimmate collector), with 2 x 40 cm (2 x 15.7 in.)
• Drain hose and accessories for use in aquarium cabinets.
• If the collection tray is far below the skimmer, we recommend 2 x 1075/2 accessories.
