The Priolepis cincta is a small, colorful goby that lives wild on coral reefs and rocky bottoms in the Indo-Pacific region. This species is notable for its compact body shape, striking banding, and vibrant colors, making it a beautiful addition to marine aquariums.

Application in the aquarium

The Priolepis cincta is ideal for reef aquariums and nano marine aquariums. Its small size and peaceful behavior make it well-suited for community tanks with other peaceful fish, shrimp, and corals. It often inhabits rock crevices or coral reefs and is usually seen on or near the bottom.

This species is not aggressive toward other fish, but can be territorial toward conspecifics. Therefore, it's best to keep only one or a pair in the aquarium.
