The Lysmata vittata is a beautiful and beneficial cleaner shrimp that not only adds color and vibrancy to the aquarium but also helps keep fish healthy. This shrimp is recognizable by its striking red and white stripes and elegant, long white antennae.
Like other species in the Lysmata genus, the vittata is known for its grooming behavior: it removes parasites and dead skin from fish that voluntarily allow themselves to be "cleaned." In this way, it contributes to a natural and balanced aquarium ecosystem.
