Colombo Marine KH Test

Professional droplet test for accurately determining the KH value in seawater. Thanks to the clear visual instructions, the included test tubes, and accessories, the test is easy to perform. This titration test allows for very precise measurements and is particularly easy to perform with the Colombo test stirrer. The contents of the package are sufficient for approximately 40 tests.

General guidelines

• Make sure the test tube is clean before use
• Clean the test tube immediately after use
• Measure the water volume as accurately as possible
• Keep the dropper bottle completely upright while dosing
• Avoid having air bubbles in the droplets

Test procedure

1. Take a 5 ml water sample
2. Add 5 drops of KH-1 test solution and mix. The sample turns light blue. If it immediately turns yellow, the KH is less than 1 °dH.
3. Place the plastic tip on the 1 ml syringe and fill it with KH-2 test solution. An air bubble above the solution is normal and serves to compensate for the volume in the tip.
4. Slowly add the test fluid until the color changes from blue to yellow
5. Multiply the amount of KH-2 test solution used in milliliters by 20 to calculate the KH value in °dH, or use the table in the manual
