CaribSea LifeRock Arches
LifeRock ™ begins as a sun-drenched patch of Pleistocene seabed that flourishes with living creatures. Over the next 100 millennia and the retreat of the ocean, this ancient stretch of seabed, now well inland, has formed a pure, aragonite-bearing rock. This clean base rock consists of 97% calcium carbonate with small and trace elements such as strontium, magnesium and barium. This base has an amazing 50% empty space that will accommodate billions of water purifying bacteria. LifeRock ™ is infused with bacteria using AragAlive ™ technology, resulting in a reduction of traditional cycle times.
Each piece of LifeRock ™ has multiple specially designed aragonite coatings that not only retain the extensive macro and microporousness, but also deliver the soft muted colors of a living reef. LifeRock ™ is a superior rock of true marine origin without lifters, organics or algae. Leaching / rinsing of the stone is not required. With LifeRock ™ you get the look of an established reef from day 1.
