The 500ml container of Tropical Marine Power Advanced Calcium is a premium marine aquarium additive, but it has been specially designed for smaller aquariums mainly occupied by soft corals.

As one of the most important macro elements in seawater, calcium is incredibly important for the growth and development of SPS, LPS, soft corals and other organisms such as snails, corraline algae and mussels, which absorb calcium directly from the water.

Calcium deficiency can dramatically slow coral growth, but can also negatively impact their overall fitness and long-term health. Calcium consumption depends on many factors, such as: water temperature, lighting, type of stock in the aquarium and many others, and its level requires regular monitoring. The better the conditions in the aquarium, the faster the corals grow and the faster they absorb calcium from the water.

Regular testing and monitoring ensures consistently accurate calcium levels in the aquarium.

Dosage

Marine Power Advanced Calcium is ideal for use in popular supplementation programs.

Preparation of 1 liter of supplement:

• Use a kitchen scale to weigh 55 g of the powder.
• Pour approximately 800 ml RODI water at room temperature into a graduated container.
• Add 55g of Marine Power Advanced Calcium to the container filled with water and mix until the crystals are completely dissolved.
• Top up the container to 1 liter (1000 ml) with RODI water.
• If you need more liquid, use the table below (only use RODI water).
  • 2 liter supplement - 110 g powder / 1600 ml water, top up with water to 2000 ml
  • 3 liter supplement - 165 g powder / 2400 ml water, top up with water to 3000 ml
  • 4 liter supplement - 220 g powder / 3200 ml water, top up with water up to 4000 ml
  • 5 liter supplement - 275 g powder / 4000 ml water, top up with water to 5000 ml

Tropical's Marine Power Advanced method is based on dosing identical amounts of three supplements: Marine Power Advanced Calcium, Marine Power Advanced KH/Alkalinity and Marine Power Advanced Mineral Salt, therefore it is crucial that the preparation of the solutions is carried out according to the instructions above. While it is possible to dose the solutions manually, with the Marine Power Advanced method we recommend using dosing pumps that make the supplementation easier and more accurate.
