The Deltec protein skimmer 600i is the replacement for SC 1351.

The Deltec Skimmer 600i has a newly developed emergency overflow. This prevents the "overcooking" of the skimmer when the water level in the skimmer rises. This can happen, for example, because the feed pump stops and the water level in the sump rises. In addition, there may be problems with the air supply, eg due to a kink in the silicone tube. Here the skimmer can "boil over" and the water rises so high that it is pressed into the foam pot and the foam waste is backwashed in the sump. This leads to an extreme load of water. This is prevented by emergency overflow.

Emergency overflow pipe and regulator tube

The water level in the Deltec Skimmer 600i can be read on the emergency overflow pipe. In addition, the minimum and maximum markings help to optimize the water level. Because of the possibility to change the emergency overflow pipe with the regulator tube, the user has the possibility to decide how the pipes have been installed.

Pump

The Deltec Skimmer 600i is equipped with the Deltec DCC 2 pump. This 24V DC pump can be operated via an eight-speed controller and can be optimally adjusted to the water level and the water load. At the optimum level 3 (for most aquariums), with only 11 watts, about 500 liters of air is generated.

The ergonomic cylinder shape

Thanks to the ergonomic cylinder shape, the Deltec Skimmer 600i achieves the best results with
skimming. The shape of the skimmer does not go up. This allows the small air bubbles to rise unimpeded, they are completely saturated and burst only in the riser of the foam pot. From there, the skimming waste can be discharged via a drain hose without having to lower the foam pot.

Disassembly, dimensions and construction

Normal cleaning of the pump is very easy thanks to the simple and quick disassembly of the skimmer. Deltec Skimmer 600i can be mounted and disassembled without tools.
