The Tiger Pistol Shrimp is a very popular animal because they are also very suitable for Nano Aquariums. The Tiger Pistol Shrimp grows to approximately 6 cm and can be kept in symbiosis with many Gobie and Goby species. The shrimp keeps the hole clean and the Gobie is on the lookout.
Pistol shrimp owe their name to the sound they can make with their claws when they feel threatened, which sounds like a gunshot and can often be heard at night when the lights are off.
If this shrimp loses its claws, it will simply grow back after the next molt.
They basically eat with the pot, so artemia, mysis and flake food will grab what remains on the bottom.
