The Acanthurus tennentii , also known as the Double-banded Surgeonfish or Tennent's Tang, is a striking addition to the marine aquarium. This fish belongs to the surgeonfish family and is known for its elegant body shape and unique color patterns. • Origin: Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean
• Maximum length: approximately 25 cm
• Colour: Blue-grey with characteristic dark bands on the head
• Diet: Primarily algivorous, also eats plant matter and marine flakes
• Character: peaceful towards other species, territorial towards conspecifics
• Suitable for: medium to large marine aquariums (>400 litres)

Care

• Minimum aquarium size: 400 liters, preferably larger because of its swimming behavior
• Water parameters: temperature 24–27°C, pH 8.1–8.4, salinity 1.022–1.025
