The Acanthurus achilles , also known as the Achilles Surgeonfish, is a spectacular and sought-after saltwater fish for marine aquariums. With its deep black body, bright orange accents, and distinctive crescent-shaped tail, this fish is a real eye-catcher. The Achilles Surgeonfish originates from the reefs of the Pacific Ocean, where it primarily inhabits areas with strong currents. This makes it ideally suited for larger and well-flowing marine aquariums. - Suitable for larger aquariums of 500 liters or more.

- Requires a spacious, stable marine aquarium with strong current and plenty of swimming room.
- Diet: primarily plant-based (algae, spirulina), supplemented with high-quality dry and frozen food
- Water parameters: temperature 24-27°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025
- Regular water changes and good filtration are essential.
- Do not keep with aggressive tank mates or other tangs of the same sex
- Sensitive to stress and diseases, only suitable for experienced aquarists
