Tubastrea Orange (Strawberry Coral)

A Tubastrea Orange (Strawberry Coral) is a beautiful addition to the aquarium, and available in many sizes. In principle, a Sun Coral is quite easy to keep, even for beginners. The coral does not get its food from the light, but only from food that it catches with its tentacles.

In the beginning, the corals must be fed every day with dust food or frozen food, and each polyp eats independently and must therefore be fed separately. If this goes well for a few days in a row, the coral will almost always be open without any problems. If the polyps do not open properly, try a block of red plankton, the smell almost always causes the polyps to open immediately.

The coral grows best when the water values are good, which means that a small amount of phosphate and nitrate must be present, and of course the rest of the water values must also be okay.
