The Nemanthias ignitus , also known as Ignitus Anthias or Fire Anthias, is a stunning and popular reef fish for the marine aquarium. With its bright orange to reddish colors and lively character, this fish is a real eye-catcher that instantly adds atmosphere to your aquarium. Nemanthias ignitus is known for its peaceful nature and is excellent for keeping in community aquariums with other reef-friendly fish. This species originates from the Indian Ocean, where it lives in schools in the vicinity of coral reefs. Due to their active swimming behavior and beautiful colors, they are ideal for both beginner and experienced marine aquarists who want to enrich their underwater world. Please note that, just like other Anthias species, the Nemanthias ignitus requires proper care and a balanced diet to maintain its health and vibrant colors.

Care

• Feed several times daily with alternating frozen food, Artemia, Mysis, and fine dry food.
• Stable water parameters: temperature 24-26°C, pH 8.1-8.4, salinity 1.023-1.025
• Regular water changes and good filtration are necessary.
• Keep at least 3 to 5 specimens for natural behavior and less stress.
• Can be shy upon introduction; ensure there are plenty of hiding places.
• Do not combine with aggressive or much larger fish
