This photometer is specially designed for the determination of ammonia in fresh water. They are much more accurate than test kits and strips and the results are displayed digitally. No more messing around with test strips and comparing colors, digital measurement is more accurate and much easier to read. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical testing kits, the HI-700 delivers fast, accurate results in four easy steps.

HI-700 uses an adaptation of the ASTM Manual of Water and Environmental Technology, D1426-92, Nessler method. The reaction between ammonia and reagents causes a yellow tint in the sample.
