D&D Booster pump for RO unit

Booster pump for 50 / 75G RO units

Suitable for any brand of RO Unit - This pump will significantly increase the water volume of your unit and also increase the water quality.

Many years ago, when I lived in the country, I installed a 50G / day RO unit under the sink. Unfortunately, because the water pressure was so bad, I got absolutely nothing out of the pure line, so I applied one of these simple pumps and immediately the flow went up to the full membrane capacity.

You generally find that RO units produce on average about 50% of their specified membrane capacity, because the temperature and pressure of the tap water in the UK are never as high as the standard parameters used for membrane flow specification. My experience is that by increasing the pressure with one of these units, you tend to get the full membrane volume - summer or winter.

The increased pressure also improves the quality of the water through the membrane. These units use a transformer to operate on low voltage and are suitable for 1/4 inch RO tube.

Specifications D&D Booster pump for RO unit

  • Flow rate (open stream): 1.2 lts / min
  • Pressure: 125 PSI (9 BAR)
  • Voltage: 24V
  • Product code RUW000

Fitness

This pump is only suitable for membranes of 50-90 USG due to the flow rate of the pump and depending on the efficiency of the membrane / water temperature.

CALCULATION

1.2 lts / min = 1728 lt / day = 455 USG / day

The flow rate must account for both the collected and rejected water volume by the RO unit.

  • When 4: 1 bounce rate = 455/5 = 91 USG
  • When 5: 1 bounce rate = 455/6 = 76 USG

We recommend that the pump is not used with a diaphragm of more than 100 USG / day, as this reduces the flow to the RO and reduces the efficiency.

The pressure of 125 PSI is the maximum pressure that the pump can produce if it is limited, the larger the membrane the easier the water flows and the less pressure is produced.

Caution

NEVER IMMERSE THE PUMP FOR ANY TIME AGAINST A CLOSED SOLENOID OR CLOSED STOPPER, BECAUSE THIS WOULD DAMAGE DIAPRAGA. IF THIS HAPPENS, A REPLACEMENT HEAD IS AVAILABLE.

English description of the D&D Booster pump for RO unit

Booster Pump for 50 / 75G RO Units

Suitable for any brand of RO Unit - This pump will significantly increase the volume of water from your unit and will also increase the water quality.

Many years ago when I lived in the country I installed a 50G / Day RO unit under the sink. Unfortunately as the water pressure was so poor then I got absolutely nothing coming out of the pure line at all so I fitted one of these simple pumps and immediately the flow went up to the full membrane capacity.

You generally find that RO units will produce about 50% of their stated membrane capacity on average as the temperature and pressure of UK mains water is never as high as the standard parameters used for membrane flow specification. My experience is that by boosting the pressure with one of these units that you tend to get the full stated membrane volume - summer or winter.

The increased pressure also improves the quality of the water through the membrane. These units utilize a transformer to run at low voltage and are suitable for 1/4 inch RO Pipe.

Specifications

  • Flow Rate (open flow): 1.2 lts / min
  • Pressure: 125 PSI (9 BAR)
  • Voltage: 24V
  • Product Code RUW000

Suitability

This pump is only suitable for membranes of 50-90 USG due to the flow rate of the pump and depending on the efficiency of the membrane / water temperature.

CALCULATION

1.2 lts / min = 1728 lt / day = 455 USG / day

Flow rate must account for both collected and rejected water volumes through the RO unit.

  • If 4: 1 reject rate = 455/5 = 91 USG
  • if 5: 1 reject rate = 455/6 = 76 USG

We recommend that the pump is not used with any membrane over 100 USG / day as it will reduce the flow rate to the RO and will reduce the efficiency.

The pressure of 125PSI is the maximum pressure that the pump can produce when restricted however the larger the membrane the easier the water will flow and the less pressure will be produced.

Caution

NEVER DEAD HAD THE PUMP FOR ANY TIME AGAINST A CLOSED SOLENOID OR CLOSED SHUT OFF VALVE AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE DIAPHRAGM. IF THIS DOES HAPPEN, THEN A REPLACEMENT HEAD IS AVAILABLE.
