aquaVitro Alpha

An important factor in the proper maintenance of an aquarium is the dilution of accumulated waste through planned water changes. This requires the removal of chlorine or chloramine or both from the new water. With the advent of chloramine, thiosulphate has proved insufficient, releasing ammonia. At acidic or neutral pH this has no serious consequences. At alkaline pH, however, it can be devastating, especially if the tap water is heavily treated with chloramines.

alpha ™ is a concentrated conditioner for salt water. It is 50% more active than our Prime® and 375% more active than the next closest competitor. alpha ™ removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. It converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is easily used by beneficial bacteria and reef inhabitants such as cockles. alpha ™ can be used during refueling cycles to relieve ammonia / nitrite toxicity. alpha ™ detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to remove them more efficiently. alpha ™ also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural mucus layer on fish. alpha ™ is non-acidic and does not affect pH, and it will not activate excessive skimmers either. Use when starting up and when adding or replacing water.
