The highly porous surface of the ceramic is ideal for the establishment of beneficial filter bacteria. Combined with starter bacteria, this reef ceramic can even be an alternative to live rock when setting up a marine aquarium.

High-quality ceramics

The reef ceramic is fired from porcelain fracture and has been extensively tested to ensure that only minimal amounts of phosphate are released into the aquarium water. This makes the material safe for use in marine aquariums.

Usage

We recommend soaking the ceramic before use and, if necessary, using an iron-based phosphate absorber during the aquarium's start-up phase.
