Xepta kH+ 1000 g

Corals need carbonates for the limestone calcification of all LPS and SPS corals. This element is also essential to keep the pH of our aquarium correct, because it reacts with acidic compounds produced by the various organisms in the aquarium that also consume this element.

It is very important to keep the alkalinity at a stable value without fluctuations in reef aquariums. Therefore it is recommended to keep this value between 7 - 12 dKH (2.5 - 4.3 mEq/l) and in this way we keep the pH around 8.3.

It is not advisable to increase the KH above 12, this will cause a decrease in the calcium concentration, therefore it is recommended to use this additive only to make corrections in the KH measured in our aquarium and to use a balanced additive that provides this element in a balanced way with the other additives of our aquarium. For this you have within our range the balanced additive Xepta Reef Balance.

Contents:

Carbonate salts.

Instructions for use:

5g of Xepta KH+ increases the KH level by 1.5 dKH in 100 litres of aquarium water. It can be added directly to the aquarium with the amount of KH+ needed to increase the KH value of our aquarium in a zone with strong current or it is possible to dilute the contents of the package in osmotic water, for this we prepare 5 litres of osmotic water and mix 500g of KH+. To help with the dissolution, it is recommended to preheat the water to a maximum of 50ºC and then add the 500g of KH+, the solution must be completely clear and crystalline. When we have prepared the 5 litres of solution, 10ml of this solution will increase the KH by 0.3 dKH per 100 litres of water in the aquarium.
