A high-quality filter medium in the form of porous ceramic rings, the shape of which ensures a good flow of water and therefore a sufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients to the biofilter.
The effective surface of Poro Ring M is 600 m2 / l thanks to the complex network of pores, allowing water to flow freely and transporting essential oxygen and nutrients to the nitrifying bacteria. The porous structure of Poro Ring M provides an excellent substrate for colonization by these bacteria, which convert ammonium ions (NH4 +) and nitrite (NO2-) (both dangerous for fish) into relatively harmless nitrate (NO3-).
It is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
