Aquatic Nature CERAMIC BASIC
Proper filtration is required to keep your aquarium clean and clear and to keep your fish in optimum health. You can filter coarse dirt and dead plant residues with a filter wool pre-filter. After the coarse dirt has been removed from the aquarium, it is the turn of the small and especially tiny particles, and here bacteria come into action.
Bacteria nestle on the filter material and remove all dirty water from unwanted particles.
The more surface area the bacteria have to spread, the more beneficial it will be for the clarity of your water. Ceramic pipes are very porous and therefore offer a very large distribution area in which the bacteria can nestle. When changing the filter, it is recommended to also provide a bacterial start solution for rapid and healthy development of the bacterial culture.
Ceramic Basic is a mechanical filter material that, due to its porous structure, retains coarser and fine dirt particles. Optimal flow to the next filter medium (eg Carbo-Aktif) is therefore ensured.
