Only water without a yellow tint allows light to penetrate unfiltered to corals, plants and fish, causing them to display their natural colours. Tropic Marin® Carbon is a high-quality activated carbon with a high absorption capacity for yellow solids and pollutants. Compared to most other types of activated carbon, phosphates and silicates are released in only minimal quantities. After a short period of use, a clear improvement in water quality is visible, due to the removal of yellow substances and pollutants.

The animals benefit from the improved light and look their natural colours again.

xl aquarium volume = ½ xg Tropic Marin® Carbon

400 g Tropic Marin® Carbon is sufficient for 800 l of aquarium water.

The substrate can be used for both continuous use and short-term use in a filter.
For continuous use we recommend filtering approximately 1% of the pool volume through the active carbon per hour. Tropic Marin® Carbon should then be replaced after 8 weeks at the latest.

Alternatively, if necessary (e.g. after adding medications), the carbon can be used in a high flow filter for 1 to 3 days to filter the contaminants from the water.
