Of all trace elements in natural seawater, iodine is associated with the largest number of effects. Iodine prevents goiter as an important part of the thyroid hormone. It is also essential for the hardening of the chitinous shell of crustaceans. Coallinaceous red algae deposit iodine in surface structures and gorgoniias place it in the axial skeleton. Experiments clearly show that Tropic Marin Pro-Coral iodine improves the adaptation to light and the coloring of anthozoans, especially of hard corals. Due to the unstable nature of the solution, iodine must be added regularly to the marine aquarium. Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine contains iodine in the most effective form, as elemental I².
Recommended dosage
Add one drop of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine per 200 l of water to the circulation stream of the system. If a dosing day is missed, skip that dose. Don't make up lost days by combining doses.
The demand for iodine increases with the density of the aquarium population. In densely populated aquariums, the dosage can be increased to the maximum dosage of 1 drop per 100 l of water per day.

Recommended dosage
Add one drop of Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Iodine per 200 l or water in the circulation flow or the system daily. If a dosage day is missed, skip that dose. Do not make up lost days by adding doses together.
Iodine demand increases with aquarium population density. In heavily populated aquarium dosage may be increased up to the maximum dosage or 1 drop per 100 l of water per day.
