Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium was created for the biologically ideal strontium supplement in reef aquariums. An adequate supply of strontium is as essential to the growth and wellbeing of reef-building corals as is calcium. In the reef aquarium, the strontium concentration can quickly drop to low values due to biological processes, precipitation and incorporation into the limestone skeleton. Tropic MarinBio-Strontium creates a natural environment in the aquarium and supplies strontium and carbon dioxide in a natural, bioavailable, powder form, supporting healthy coral development. Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium does not disturb the ion balance, unlike the simple addition of strontium chloride.

Application of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium:

When using the supplied measuring spoon, level the Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium with the spatula for an accurate measurement. Sprinkle a level measuring spoon full of Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium directly on the surface of the aquarium or in the container, stirring by hand or a non-metallic object. Wait for each spoon to dissolve completely before adding the next.

A level measuring spoon increases the strontium content of 37 l by about 2 ppm (= 2 mg / l). The natural concentration of seawater is 8 ppm (= 8 mg/l). In a reef aquarium, the strontium concentration decreases rapidly due to biological processes, precipitation and use in the calcareous animals. A basic dose of 1 level measuring spoon per 190 l every two weeks is recommended. In an aquarium with a high population, the dose can be as much as 1 level measuring spoon per 190 l per week. High concentrations of strontium in the aquarium can damage corals. Always pay attention to the strontium concentration.
