Seachem Onyx Gravel
Onyx ™ is a specially broken natural substrate for the aquarium. Onyx ™ is suitable for any sea or freshwater environment and is ideally suited for Cichlid environments. Onyx ™ is most effective when it is only used as an integral substrate bed, but it can be mixed with other gravel or sand such as Onyx Sand ™. Onyx ™ is not chemically coated or treated but has a light buffer capacity.
To determine the number of bags required for your aquarium, consider each bag (7 kg, 15.4 lbs) with a volume of approximately 7000 cm3 (425 cu. In.).
Use of Seachem Onyx Gravel
Although it is pre-washed because Onyx ™ is a natural product, it can become dusty during transport and must be rinsed before use to remove residual dust.
