Salifert KH + pH Buffer

KH + pH Buffer is a highly concentrated, fast-dissolving powder that increases alkalinity (carbonate hardness) and stabilizes the pH to the correct value. In this way it contributes significantly to the health of all aquarium residents including corals, calcified algae and fish.

Within 24 hours the water reaches the pH corresponding to other parameters in the aquarium. If the pH remains low within these 24 hours of the addition, insufficient gas exchange (inefficient aeration) is often the cause.

Dosage

Depending on the package, there is either a measuring cup (gradation: 10 and 20 ml) or a spoon included (7 measuring scoops = 10 ml). Preferably dissolve the powder in fresh (osmosis) water (120 ml of water for every 10 ml of powder).

Every 10 ml of powder per 100 liters of water will approximately increase the alkalinity by 1.2 meq / L. This corresponds to an increase of KH 3.3 dKH.

To keep your corals and beautiful crust-forming algae healthy, we aim for an alkalinity of approximately 2.8 to 3.2 meq / l or 7.8 to 9 dKH.
