Hanna Reagents Free chlorine (0.00 to 2.50 mg/l)

The 25 reagent package is intended for use with the HI-701 Free Chlorine Pocket Checker.

These reagents follow the DPD method, where the reaction between chlorine and reagent produces a pink tint in the sample. By simply adding the HI-701-25 reagent packet, the reaction takes place and the HI-701 determines the concentration based on the color produced. Results are displayed in ppm (mg/L) free chlorine. These reagents are designed for use with samples with an expected range of 0.00 to 2.50 ppm free chlorine.

Tip for an accurate measurement

It is important that the sample does not contain any dirt.

When the cuvette is placed in the measuring cell, it must be dry on the outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe the cuvette thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth before inserting.

Shaking the cuvette may cause air bubbles to form, which will result in higher readings. For accurate measurements, remove such air bubbles by swirling or gently tapping the cuvette.

Do not leave the reacted sample standing for too long after the reagent is added, otherwise the accuracy will be lost.

After measurement, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass may become permanently discoloured.

Four steps. One click. Instant readout.
