This is a replacement spacer for the Quiet Drive version of the MP40.

EcoTech VorTech Alignment and Use of the Dryside Spacer. (MP10, MP40 and MP60) All VorTech pumps must have

*Never run a submersible pump (such as the VorTech) outside of water as this may damage the pump.

• 1. Measure your glass.
• 2. Select the correct spacer (varies between the MP10, MP40 and MP60 pump).
• 3. Place the spacer on the Dryside (engine).
• 4. Choose a mounting location (Tip: too high will suck in air, too low can move your sand bed - avoid obstructions in the tank such as rocks - the more open space around the pump, the more water displacement you will achieve).
• 5. With the pump turned off, attach the pumps using the hanging tab. The hanging tabs are designed to protect the Dryside from falling and damage. If you are not mounting the tabs above the VorTech, make sure the tab is less than half the distance between the motor and any surface that the motor could fall into and contact.
• 6. Adjust the alignment until there is no noise or excessive vibration.
• 7. Customize/program your VorTech as needed.
