In a closed aquarium ecosystem, parameter fluctuations are quite frequent. An efficient filtration system or an overdose of nutrient-reducing media can lead to a sudden drop in nitrate levels. Too low a concentration can slow coral growth or, worse, cause permanent damage.

AF NO3+ is a product that increases nitrate levels in marine aquariums. The problem of too low NO3 usually affects aquariums with a large number of corals and a small number of fish. AF NO3+ is a source of pure nitrates, the correct level of which is necessary for good coral growth. The concentration of nitrates strongly depends on the phosphate content in the water. Check the PO4 concentration before attempting to increase the NO3 level in the aquarium. Keeping it in such proportions allows you to maintain an appropriate chemical balance in the aquarium and protect it from increased algae growth.

AF NO3+ is a product of the Aquaforest Lab line, made for aquarists who want full control over the parameters in their aquarium. Before use, we recommend testing both NO3 and PO4 levels and dosing them gradually until the desired nitrate level is reached.

Usage

• 1 ml of AF NO3+ added to 100 l of aquarium water increases the nitrate level by 0.5 mg/l (ppm)
• The maximum recommended daily dose is: 1 ml/100 l of water
• The optimal nitrate value (NO3) for a reef aquarium is 1-4 mg/l (ppm)
• Check the nitrate level regularly and only dose when the nitrate level is too low
• Make sure the nitrate level is correct and that you use a reliable test kit
