Real Reef is one of the most beautiful living rocks the hobby has ever seen. Whether in a reef or fish-only aquarium, Real Reef remains purple, dead or alive. The product is pigmented with non-toxic colors to mimic the most beautiful encrusting coralline algae that nature has produced. Real Reef does not harbor unwanted or parasitic algae, invertebrates and unwanted passengers. Wild live rock is inherently covered and saturated with unwanted pests and decomposed organic matter. In most cases, wild live rock is not alive because it died during the passage across the Pacific Ocean. Real Reef provides the aquarist with a clean, biologically active rock that solves all the problems of wild live rock, including the process of waiting for it to harden, or "curing."
