Why with zooplankton?

Many aquarists regularly add marine zooplankton to their aquarium, creating ideal conditions for the establishment of a stable copepod population in their aquarium. It also helps to keep water values within an optimal range. In addition, fish species that like to peck at reef rocks (e.g. lyrefish) always have a certain amount of live food available in the aquarium.
