Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes is the world's first solid carbohydrate-based phosphate remover that naturally removes phosphate from both fresh and sea water. Unlike competing products that use heavy metals to remove phosphate, Phospha-Guard uses BIO-Cubes Redfield's Ratio to remove phosphate. The use of this all-natural method gives much better performance than competing products. Unlike pellets, Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes is a point-of-source treatment that prevents system crashes.

The biomass created by Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes contains no iron oxide / hydroxide and is non-toxic. In fact, the biomass, which is created by the heterotrophic bacteria, is also a great food source for corals and other filter feeds. Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes requires virtually no maintenance and requires no expensive fluidized bed media reactor to function.

Before installing your Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes, Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes must be used in combination with Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes Original or Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes Titanium in a ratio of 3 ml per liter of aquarium water. Before you install Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes, you must allow the Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes Original or Titanium to fully mature (approximately 12 to 14 days) and that the nitrate levels are not detectable.

Systems with very heavy organic waste loads must be thoroughly cleaned, in particular the gravel beds (also under the rocks) and the filters. DSBs can also be a source of phosphate in the event of overload with organic waste and must be cleaned regularly. Living rock that has not been flushed properly can also leach large amounts of phosphate.

Instructions

For low phosphate levels (less than 0.75 ppm), add 0.5 ml per liter. For high phosphate levels (above 0.75 ppm) add 1 ml per liter of aquarium water. For very high phosphate levels (above 2 ppm), it is recommended that you use Phospha-Guard GFH DARK-ICE instead.

Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes can be added in the same media bag together with the Nitra-Guard Bio-Cubes Original or Titanium. Phospha-Guard BIO-Cubes will mature for 12 to 14 days.

Increase the dose by 0.50 ml if necessary every 10 to 14 days.

When the desired phosphate level has been reached, maintain the BIO-Cubes phosphate protection level as required.
