Octo Regal 200-E External Skimmer
OCTO Series Regal Recirculating External Protein Skimmer (Regal -E) is an out-of-sump protein skimmer with a high-quality cast acrylic housing, easy disassembly for maintenance, a precisely controlled gate valve and a hybrid conical body that helps to stabilize naturally and concentrate the organic rich foam as it rises. The water is recirculated in the skimmer for a cleaner water output.
Regal –E is powered by our proprietary variable speed VarioS skimmer pump, which features pinwheel impellers, a detachable controller, high quality ceramic shaft and bearings to reduce wear, and the latest variable speed flow technology for refined control, enhanced performance , energy efficiency and safer operations.
Unlike the vast majority of circulation pumps that use alternating current (AC), our VarioS pump has a number of important advantages over traditional AC pumps, namely higher energy efficiency, safer use at a working voltage of 24 V and, above all, the variable speed control to adjust the ideal mix of air and water flow in the skimmer.
Improved control
The VarioS controller allows users to control flow rates by choosing from five preset speed settings; indicated by five lit LEDs. A 15 or 60 minute feeding mode can also be switched on or off at the touch of a button.
Additionally, a rotatable volute allows users to adjust the output direction horizontally or vertically (up or down) depending on their needs.
Under normal use, the VarioS pump has an expected service life/product life expectancy of 10 years.
