The Favia Midnight Princess is an elegant LPS coral with a deep dark blue to purple base and neon green oral discs (sometimes with gold/teal accents). Its thickly ribbed structure and mosaic pattern give it a luxurious "midnight" appearance that glows spectacularly under blue light. It grows steadily into compact, domed, or encrusting colonies, making it a perfect fit for both austere and natural reefscapes.

Care & placement

• Light : Low to medium (PAR ±80–150). Excessive light may cause color wash-out; photo-acclimatize slowly.
• Flow : Light to moderate, diffuse. Avoid direct, hard jets on tissue.
• Diet : Responds well to targeted feeding 1–2× per week with fine LPS food/microplankton (in the evening during polyp expansion).
• Position : Lower to middle zone, on sand or stable rock; allow a few centimetres of space all around.

• KH : 8–9 dKH
• Ca : 420–450 ppm
• Mg : 1300–1400 ppm

• Night sweepers : Favia can develop longer sweeper tentacles at night; keep your distance from neighbors to avoid stings.
• Color range : Most beautiful “midnight glow” under blue/actinic LED (14–20K).
• Stability = color : Constant parameters and soft flow maintain deep base shades and bright mouth colors.
