The Fauna Marin Multifilter is versatile and can be used in the smallest of spaces with the following filter media:

• Fauna Marin Carb L Activated Carbon
• Fauna Marin NPO Redupellets
• Fauna Marin Phosphate Adsorber: Power Phos, Phos 0.04 or Ultra Phos
• Combinations with Carb L Activated Carbon and Phosphate Adsorber are also possible.

The Fauna Marin Multifilter can be used as a pellet reactor, fluidized bed filter or as a single filter.

Dimensions of the 3.0 liter multi-filter:

• Base surface: 24 x 14 cm
• Height: 50 cm
• Capacity: approx. 3.0 litres
• Including adjustable pump

Instructions for use:

Place the filter in the sump (filter sump) and connect the supplied pump (Sicce 1.0) with the screw connection.
The water level should not be higher than 25-30 cm.
It is important that the multi-filter is level.
Make sure the feed pump is running at full capacity (see pump operating instructions).
If possible, install the filter before a skimmer for particularly rapid nutrient removal.
Remove the top middle screw and the mounted sieve and fill the filter with the prepared filter medium.
Then replace the sieve in reverse order and tighten the screw only lightly.
Now turn on the pump and check if the filter medium is moving. Make sure that the filter never stands still and that the pump always provides sufficient water flow.

Weekly tasks:

• Clean the top sieve
• Clean the drain holes
• Clean the outer side walls of the filter

Every 2 weeks:

Clean the feed pump

Every 3-4 weeks:

Remove and clean the bottom sieve

It is very important that the backflowing water runs off along the side walls of the filter.
Good recirculation enriches the water with oxygen that has been consumed during the breakdown of nutrients.
The flow control on the suction side of the pump allows you to precisely regulate the flow, thus ensuring quiet operation of the filter.
