Pellet reactor/fluidized bed filter for various filter media. The Fauna Marin Multi-Filter is a versatile media chamber that can be used as a biopellet reactor or media reactor.

As a media reactor, the Multi-Filter can contain different types of filter media:

• Fauna Marin Carb L activated carbon
• Fauna Marin NPO Redu pellets
• Fauna Marin Phos 0.04
• Fauna Marin Power Phos
• Fauna Marin Ultra Phos

You can also easily mix Carb L and PO4 media in one chamber without any problems.

The space-saving design of the Multi-Filter ensures that users can find a spot for it even in the smallest of spaces!

Dimensions of the 1.5 liter Multifilter:

• Base surface: 24 x 14 cm
• Height: 35 cm
• Content: approx. 1.5 litres
• Including adjustable pump

Instructions for use:

Place the filter in the sump (filter sump) and connect the supplied pump (Sicce 1.0) with the screw connection.

• The water level should not be higher than 25-30 cm.
• It is important that the multi-filter is level.
• Make sure the feed pump is running at full capacity (see pump operating instructions).
• If possible, install the filter before a skimmer for particularly rapid nutrient removal.
• Remove the top middle screw and the installed strainer and fill the filter with the prepared filter medium.
• Then replace the sieve in reverse order and tighten the screw only lightly.
• Now turn on the pump and make sure the filter medium is moving.
• Make sure that the filter never stops and that the pump always provides sufficient water flow.

Weekly tasks:

• Clean the top sieve
• Clean the drain holes
• Clean the outer side walls of the filter
• 1000 ml Skim Breeze per 500 litres, for 4-6 weeks

Every 2 weeks:

Clean the feed pump

Every 3-4 weeks:

• Remove and clean the bottom sieve
• It is very important that the backflow water flows along the side walls of the filter.
• Good recirculation enriches the water with oxygen, which has been used up during the breakdown of nutrients.
• The flow controller on the suction side of the pump allows you to precisely control the flow rate, thus ensuring quiet operation of the filter.
