High purity sodium bicarbonate to perfectly balance the carbonate content (KH) in your marine aquarium using the Balling Light / Classic method. During their growth, corals and lime algae absorb calcium, magnesium, carbonates and other minerals / trace elements. The elements used must be compensated for the healthy and stable growth of these organisms. This is possible with various methods of which the Balling method is one of the most well-known. Fauna Marin has a complete range of Balling salts to keep the calcium, magnesium and carbonate content in the aquarium stable and perfectly balanced. For the best results, Fauna Marin uses the purest chemicals for its Balling salts. Advantages of Balling compared to a lime reactor? Balling (Light) offers much more stable water values and also has lower start-up costs (with / without dosing pump) than a lime reactor set. In Germany, the Balling method has replaced the use of a lime reactor. An increasing number of aquarists are also using Fauna Marin Balling salts in combination with a lime reactor to balance the chemical imbalances that can occur through a lime reactor.

Since the salts are highly hygroscopic (or they absorb good moisture), it is better to make the entire mix and then to pour it into smaller vessels. That way you know for sure that the solution you create will always have the same concentration, which also translates into more stability in your water values.
