High nitrate and phosphate levels are rare in the tropical fish biotopes. However, this is different in our aquariums. Feed residues, excrement and urine from the fish quickly exceed the maximum limit for phosphate, which can quickly lead to unwanted algae growth.

In our tap water too high values are quickly measured: the cause is the fertilization of vegetables and other crops with phosphate and nitrate-containing nitrogen. As a result, the surface water is loaded, resulting in too high phosphate and nitrate values.

That is why the use of osmosis water is strongly recommended. Phosphate is found everywhere in the aquarium, with the highest concentrations in the bottom of the aquarium (accumulation). This can result in the phosphate rising again over time. Some activated carbon (with acids activated) also releases phosphates to the aquarium.

The AQUATIC NATURE PHOSPHAT STOP absorbs phosphate quickly and effectively, removing important elements from the algae. The result: the growth of algae is strongly curbed. The ideal value in tropical aquariums is 0.1 mg / l. It is recommended not to exceed 1 mg / l phosphate.

Use of Aquatic Nature PHOSPHAT STOP FRESHWATER

Rinse the AQUATIC NATURE PHOSPHAT STOP for 2 minutes with lukewarm water. Place the filter with the PHOSPHAT STOP in the filter and ensure that the largest possible water flow occurs. Even with saturation of PHOSPHAT STOP, no phosphates are released back into the water. A phosphate rise (PO4) means that the absorption capacity of the PHOSPHAT STOP is saturated.

TIP at Aquatic Nature PHOSPHAT STOP FRESHWATER

If the aquarium water is yellow or ocher colored, it is recommended to filter on CARBO AKTIF EXCEL (water vapor activated). This eliminates phenols and bad odors and makes PHOSPHAT STOP more effective.

TIP: If the nitrate content is too high (> 30 mg), the NITRAT STOP is an excellent help.
