Mode of operation : running water is exposed to UV-C radiation. Organisms such as algae, bacteria, viruses and parasites are destroyed. Incidentally, ozone is also generated. This helps to reduce harmful substances (redox). The flow has a decisive influence. If you only want to fight algae, viruses and bacteria (also cyanobacteria), reach 1250 / h. To eliminate even parasites, we recommend limiting the flow to 400 l / h. Visible results can be expected after 1-2 days. Corals, plants, etc. get more light through the clearer water.
Operating conditions : There must be water flow at all times. Protect against contamination, check the unimpeded flow regularly, clean if necessary. Do not work without water cooling / flow. Never look directly at the UV light (there is a risk of eye damage). The device may only be used closed. We recommend replacing the lamp about once a year.
