The AMTRA Skimmer Hang On 100 is a compact and elegant external protein skimmer that easily hangs on the edge of the aquarium. This hang-on skimmer is suitable for marine aquariums up to approximately 100 liters and effectively removes proteins and other contaminants from the water.

A protein skimmer is indispensable in coral reef aquariums and is also highly recommended for fish-only marine aquariums. By removing organic waste from the water early on, the skimmer helps maintain stable water quality.

The skimmer is equipped with a special needle-wheel impeller that produces very fine air bubbles. These ensure optimal mixing of air and water, effectively removing waste products.

Extra filtration

The skimmer contains an activated carbon cartridge that aids in chemical filtration of the water. In addition, a sponge prevents air bubbles from re-entering the aquarium and supports biological filtration.

Easy installation

The AMTRA Skimmer Hang-On 100 is a plug-and-play model and is easy to install. Place the skimmer on the edge of the aquarium, ensuring the suction tube is fully submerged. Then fill the skimmer with aquarium water and connect the pump.

After a few minutes the water flow will stabilize and the amount of air can be adjusted with the air regulator to optimize the skimming.
